Module 6
Opportunities Beyond Job Boards
How to professionally contact labs, hospitals, pharmacies, and courier companies.
Who to research
Independent labs, hospital systems, outpatient clinics, independent pharmacies, home-health agencies, blood centers, medical supply companies, and established regional courier/logistics companies.
Important: many facilities use an outside courier vendor and don't hire drivers directly. Your goal is to learn who handles their deliveries and whether that company is hiring — or, for business owners, what their approved-vendor process is.
Outreach script (phone)
"Hi, my name is ___. I'm a local driver interested in medical courier work. Could you tell me whether your facility hires couriers directly, or uses a courier company? If it's a company, may I ask which one so I can apply with them? Thank you for your time."
